Note from the President- The June meeting was informative thanks to Dr. Susan Haddock, raised $98 for the APS Mid-West Group, and we had the opportunity to buy plants from Botanophilia and Dr. Haddock. I left with more than a few plants. Don’t forget that Botanophilia is a mail-order company so you can go on-line and order from them. Dr Haddock will be sending informational updates to anybody that signed her sheet for APSMWG.
July 10th starts our Tour Season this year. Barb Hunter and Cathy Hodgson have volunteered to open their gardens from 1:00PM-4:00PM. Suncrest Gardens is also open to tour. All locations are in Lapeer and within a few miles of each other. Barb has stated that she will stay open until 8:00 PM. There will be no potluck for this tour.
August 14th will be a tour at Sandy Vukonich’s gardens in Oxford. 3:00 PM-8:00 PM. Again, there is no potluck for the tour.
September 11th is the Annual Plant Exchange at Suncrest in Lapeer. This will be the same as in the past with a Potluck, the Annual Meeting, and the Plant Exchange. This is a great time to pot plants for the exchange to give them time to adjust to the pot and look good for the exchange.
